Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash is a 2-vs-2 action game based on the popular manga and anime, Jujutsu Kaisen. Players will have the opportunity to play as some of their favorite characters—including Gojo Satoru, Itadori Yuji, Fushiguro Megumi, and Kugusaki Nobara—and explore each of their unique Cursed Techniques, as well.
Similar to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash mixes in 2D and 3D elements to present a more lifelike and immersive visual experience while also remaining true to the anime art style that these games are based on.
Synchronize with your battle partner
Teamwork is paramount in Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash, with the Joint Attack mechanic encouraging players to sync their cursed abilities for devastating combos. Cursed Clash's design nudges you towards coordination, making the gameplay feel fresh and cooperative. As you familiarize yourself with the characters, there's a genuine sense of progression—not just in skill, but also in the narrative-driven build of characters’ power throughout a match.
Each character’s unique abilities extend beyond just their cursed techniques; their movements and fighting styles offer their strengths during battle, allowing you to curate your playstyle. One of the standouts is the game’s Domain Expansion feature, which is inspired by one of the most common techniques in the series’ canon universe. As battles escalate, the unleashing of a character's Domain adds an extra layer of tactical play.
Plot-wise, however, the game’s content doesn’t feature some of the more recent events in the manga, so some noteworthy characters are missing, as well. It’s also worth noting that the game has some steep system requirements that favor more powerful, high-specced devices. Players are recommended to have at least 10 GB of storage space, 8 GB of RAM, and a 64-bit processor and operating system.
Hidden Inventory/Premature Death DLC and other content
Keeping the momentum of Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash going, the game has released its first-ever DLC named Hidden Inventory/Premature Death. This purchasable content pack features a must-see scene from the second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, new outfits and customization items, as well as additional playable characters Student Satoru Gojo, Student Suguru Geto, and Toji Fushiguro.
In addition to the paid DLC, a free update was also rolled out. Now, there are new maps—Star Religious Group Headquarters and Tombs of the Star, Main Hall—outfits, enemies, and playable characters Mai Zen’in and Momo Nishimiya. An offline co-op mode has been introduced, as well, so players won’t miss out on their JJK action fix despite having no internet connection.
Besides that, players who want to invest in character cosmetics can also purchase the Anime Ending Theme 1 Outfits DLC. The pack contains Season 1, Ending Theme 1 clothes with four color variations each for Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fuhisguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Maki Zeni’n, Toge Inumaki, Satoru Gojo, Aoi Todo, and Kento Nanami. Finally, players can look forward to an upcoming DLC based on the anime’s famed Shibuya Incident.
A treat for fans of the franchise
With stunning visuals that take you straight into the fictional version of Tokyo, Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash creates an immersive experience that allows players to engage in exciting battles and strengthen their abilities. However, some fans can feel disappointed by the absence of certain characters.
